I joined the faculty in August 2003, shortly after completing my M.Sc. in Computing and was promoted to associate professor in August 2006.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">I work on \u201cbig data\u201d and cloud technologies, with a particular focus on big data analytics, Cloud Computing Security (CloudSec) and analysis of performance of Cloud Computing Systems (CCS). In 2010, I got a grant\u00a0from the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (<a href=\"http:\/\/http\/\/www.conacyt.gob.mx\">CONACYT<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 PROMEP), to study a PhD in Engineering at the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.etsmtl.ca\/\">\u00c9cole de Technologie Sup\u00e9rieure<\/a>\u00a0(ETS), University of Quebec at Montreal, Canada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">My research lies at the design of models to analyse the \u201cnormal behavior\u201d of a Cloud Computing Systems to detect possible anomalies as well as the large-scale data analysis.
