I’m an associate professor in the Department of Electronic Systems at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes, Mexico. I joined the faculty in August 2003, shortly after completing my M.Sc. in Computing and was promoted to associate professor in August 2006.

I work on “big data” and cloud technologies, with a particular focus on big data analytics, Cloud Computing Security (CloudSec) and analysis of performance of Cloud Computing Systems (CCS). In 2010, I got a grant from the National Council of Science and Technology of Mexico (CONACYT – PROMEP), to study a PhD in Engineering at the École de Technologie Supérieure (ETS), University of Quebec at Montreal, Canada.

My research lies at the design of models to analyse the “normal behavior” of a Cloud Computing Systems to detect possible anomalies as well as the large-scale data analysis. Right now, I’m part of Networks and Distributed Systems Research Laboratory (NetDiSys) at the Autonomous University of Aguascalientes.
